Barcelona, October 7th 2007... // When the 15th Barcelona International Erotic Film Festival closes its door tonight it will say goodbye to the venue that it has occupied during the last decade and showing a number of visitors similar to the two previous editions. The contract with La Farga ends this year and the organizers are negotiating new venues in the city of Barcelona or nearby to host the next edition.

The Barcelona International Erotic Film Festival, the oldest of the European festivals, has consolidated its content and achieved to become recognized as an exhibition for the whole of adult cinema industry during this past decade, while diversifying its content. The approval from the public, the media and the professionals, as well as the contribution to normalize adult cinema make the organizers confident to find a new venue.

This edition of FICEB closes with almost 57.000 visitors (estimate by Sunday the 7th at 1 p.m.), a number that is similar to the one from last year. Like in the previous editions the large number of females in the public shows the interest in sex by Society as a whole.

Several important, international, stars have visited the festival this year: Silvia Saint, Rocco Siffredi (who oponed his last production Furious Fucker), Nacho Vidal (who has received a tribute during this edition), Katsuni and many others. All of them will attend the Awards’ Gala tonight, together with other personalities from culture and cinema, like Juanma Bajo Ulloa (the Jury’s president) or Francis Montesinos (fashion designer).
